Recap of the First UnitPlus Business Event on March 26, 2025

On March 26, 2025, we welcomed 50 medium-sized enterprises to the first UnitPlus Business Event in Berlin. Guest speakers included Member of the German Bundestag and Chairwoman of the SME Union of the CDU and CSU, Gitta Connemann, as well as economist Simona Gambarini from Goldman Sachs Asset Management.

While Ms. Connemann provided the audience with insights into the ongoing government formation, Ms. Gambarini contextualized current political developments within the global economic landscape. According to Ms. Gambarini’s modeling at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, the German infrastructure package worth 500 billion euros is expected to lead to noticeable economic growth and generate positive momentum across Europe. The following chart illustrates the projected GDP growth without (black bars) and with (purple bars) fiscal stimulus — each under a rapid and a gradual implementation of the package.
