Funds

A fund can be considered a pot in which various securities are collected. Several investors can pay into the pot, and the accumulated value is invested in a defined asset class. The most popular types of funds include equity funds, bond funds, real estate funds, mixed funds, and ETFs. A fund can be actively or passively managed, and there can be a fund manager, or the process can be automated via a robo-advisor.
